All horses competing must have an up-to-date negative Coggins test & a up-to-date health certificate on file with their vet. Proof of current negative Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) status is required for all regional production shows for all horses over 6 months of age. Any federal or state recognized test results for EIA will be accepted to document negative EIA status. Testes must be dated within twelve (12) months of the show or event. This rule includes all broodmares accompanying foals to shows. Random checks will occur.
All horses competing must have an up-to-date physical & shots record on file. This is to ensure that a horse with a heart condition, or bad hoof, does not worsen the condition by competing.
Mares who are expecting are only allowed to enter halter classes during the first 3 weeks of pregnancy. They are forbidden from showing for the next 5 weeks this includes there 2 week rest period after foaling. See Hay!Land rules Breeding & Management for further details.
